The PES 2018 release date has been set for September 14, 2017 for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC – no Nintendo Switch version has been confirmed at this time.
A long list of the game’s new features have also been officially confirmed by Konami. PES 2018 will include a Master League Upgrade, Enhanced Visual Reality, as well as the usual Online Co-op.
“The high quality gameplay PES is known for has been finely tuned, with the addition of contextual shielding to protect the ball and Real Touch+ adding a new dimension to ball control,” the official PES description reads on the PS Blog.
“Complementing the fluid gameplay, set pieces have been reworked, including a new free-kick and penalty system. There’s also the option to start a match with the new one player kick-off.
“Random Selection Match and Online Co-Op offer up two new modes where you can experience PES 2018’s stunning gameplay. The former sees the return of a classic fan favourite, with the latter’s inclusion bringing with it the ability to play 2v2 and 3v3 (supporting local guest play).
“Elsewhere, PES League integration and the addictive Master League mode has been improved, featuring pre-season tournaments, an improved transfer system and pre-match interviews and locker room scenes!
“A new user interface and greatly improved visuals bring all above the above together, recreating the authenticity of football, all the way down to the little details. Thanks to Real Capture, PES 2018 will include true-to-life stadium lighting, pitch turfs and player tunnels that were recreated from more than 20,000 intricate elements of genuine data that was collected at the Camp Nou and Signal Iduna Park.”
The PES 2018 Pre Order bonuses have also been confirmed, although the ones listed are only for the Xbox One.

PES 2018’s biggest rival, FIFA 18, is set to be fully unveiled during the EA Play event in June.
EA Play tickets go on sale in April and will include a host of new titles that will be playable on the show floor.
EA have confirmed that this will include FIFA 18, as well as other titles that have yet to be formally unveiled.
“From June 10 – 12, players joining us in Hollywood will get hands on with the next Star Wars Battlefront and Need for Speed experiences,” an EA statement reveals.
“You’ll also get your first chance to play many of our upcoming EA SPORTS titles: Madden NFL 18, FIFA 18 and NBA LIVE 18. This isn’t all, by the way…and we’ll have more to share in the coming months.”
“Beyond the hands-on experience in Hollywood, we have an extensive content program for our players joining us online.
“Throughout the three-day event we will be providing you with detailed gameplay deep dives, competitive events and exclusive interviews with the development teams.
And while it looks like titles such as Destiny 2 are skipping the Switch, FIFA 18 remains one of the top franchises confirmed for the Nintendo Switch, outside of the Nintendo brand.
The development team announced plans to release FIFA on Nintendo Switch earlier this year, but fans were unsure whether it would be FIFA 17 or FIFA 18.
EA’s Peter Moore confirmed the news, telling Gamereactor UK that the new FIFA would be custom-built for Nintendo’s console.
“Well, as we have said, we are custom-building a FIFA version for the Nintendo Switch,” he revealed.
“It will be FIFA 18, and it will obviously be later this year when FIFA 18 comes out.”
