FIFA 18 Trailer release date COUNTDOWN as EA Sports prepare news ahead of E3 2017

EA Sports has planned this to perfection, announcing their first look at FIFA 18 just hours after Christiano Ronaldo put in a sparkling Man of the Match performance in the Champions League final.

When better to announce the new game than at the height of football fever, although for the time being it’s just a main cover image, but you can expect plenty more to arrive tomorrow when the game reveals the first trailer for the new game.

The big FIFA 18 announcement was made on the game’s various social media feeds including Facebook and Twitter, showing the army of FIFA fans the games new logo.

The teaser trailer will be announced on the official YouTube channel tomorrow, but you can bet we’ll have the trailer here for you the second it drops.

No official time has been shared for when the trailer will go live, but we can make a fairly good prediction for when EA Sports will drop the new teaser.

If we’re going off the times which EA Sports share Team of the Week (TOTW) and (TOTS) news, it’s likely to come anywhere between 3PM and 6PM in the afternoon.

For the past few weeks FIFA’s Team of the Season announcements have been grabbing everyone’s attention, but with EA Play next week at E3 2017, there will be a cast iron guarantee of a new FIFA 18 trailer.

If anything it’s likely that tomorrow’s trailer drop will be something of a tease for the full reveal at in LA, with flashes of hints at updated features, The Journey 2 and plenty more.

The news follows on from a MAJOR Sony PlayStation win against Microsoft’s Xbox One when it comes to FIFA 18, following another high-profile marketing deal for Sony.

The PS4 already has marketing deals and exclusive console content lined up for the likes of , Call of Duty: WW2, Star Wars Battlefront 2, and the more recently announced .

However, a leaked photo from a FIFA 18 event in Germany might have just confirmed a new deal in place for EA Sports FIFA 18.

The photo was posted by Polish YouTuber Oskar “Junajted” Siwiec on Facebook, who appeared to attend a recent FIFA 18 event in Germany.

While the picture he posted is somewhat harmless, it’s particularly interesting to note that the standee behind Oskar features messaging for the PS4 Pro and not Microsoft imagery, which has often been the case in recent years given the Xbox marketing deal.

Not only will this do wonders for PS4 promotion around the release of the game, but also, it means that the games FIFA Ultimate Team Legends will no longer be available to Xbox One owners, but instead on PS4 from 2018.

Until it’s announced officially, we need to take it with a pinch of salt, but it’s certainly convincing. We could hear more tomorrow, but it’s likely to come at EA Play.

While we’re talking about FIFA 18 Legends, it was potentially leaked a week or so back that FIFA Ultimate Team fans might be able to unlock a brand new Legend in the new edition of the game coming out later this year.

It’s been suggested that Brazilian striker Ronaldo will feature in FIFA 18 when it launches later this year.

This is based on leaked footage that allegedly shows two Russian commentators recording dialogue for the new game as reported by Express Online.

The Express references a report on , where Russian commentators mention Ronaldo’s spell at Barcelona.

“This would rule out Cristiano Ronaldo, who played for Sporting CP, Manchester United and Real Madrid … The Brazilian-born Ronaldo moved to Barcelona from PSV, and scored 34 goals in 37 appearances for the club.”

Football game rivals at Konami are also being proactive, having revealed along with several ways in which the game will look to better the FIFA 18 offering just a few weeks back.

But for now, EA Sports has remained tightlipped on FIFA 18, with the closest thing to a  ‘leak’ coming in the form of a fan man gameplay demo.

This video featured 24-year-old Manchester United ace, Paul Pogba, replacing Borussia Dortmund attacking midfielder Marco Reus as the game’s cover star.

However, this FIFA 18 clip, unfortunately, turned out to be a big fat fake and was actually concept art designed by Twitter user @JamescDZN.

It’s still fun to look at though, teasing a potential new menu interface, a revamped Alex Hunter Journey mode and the addition of FIFA Street, a fan favourite that’s been requested for several years, but in all likelihood won’t return to FIFA 18.

All we really know about FIFA 18 so far, is that it will also come to  and will be called  on the Nintendo Switch.
