Friday sees the release of the first of FIFA 17 Ultimate Team’s FUTTIES, with 96-rated Francesco Totti and 90-rated Dirk Kuyt End of an Era Squad Building Challenge cards headlining the first batch of content to be released.

The FUTTIES will run for six weeks until Friday, August 18, with a variety of packs and cards available throughout.

EA Sports FIFA took to Twitter to reveal the first release:

Here is a closer look at what Friday’s batch of FUTTIES entails:

FIFA also updated some of its marquee transfers:

End of an Era Premium Squad Building Challenge

Totti and Kuyt hung up their boots at the end of the season, and they will be the first of six players to receive special End of an Era cards this summer as a result.

The former’s 96 card will eclipse any he’s received on FIFA to date, including his Classic European International Heroes card from FIFA 16.

He will boast a maximum 99 passing and elite-level 97 finishing and dribbling, while even his pace—which has been something of a natural Achilles’ heel for the 40-year-old in recent years—is as high as 89.

As for Kuyt, he’ll be an exceptional all-rounder with 93 shooting and 90 physical, while even his weakest attribute, his defending, is 80.

Favourite Centre-Back SBCs

Players will also have to choose between Chris Smalling, Eric Bailly and Samuel Umtiti in the Favourite Centre-Back Squad Building Challenge, with the winner of the most votes set to receive a special boosted FUTTIES edition of their card.

Smalling has the highest base rating at 84 overall, and the Manchester United star boasts 84-rated physical and defending stats, while his pace is a reasonable 77.

Bailly isn’t far behind, though, and he also has the highest pace with 81, while Barcelona’s Umtiti is the slowest at 75 but boasts the best technical stats with 70 passing and dribbling.

As such, the trio represent a choice between all-round defensive prowess, pace or technicality, so much will depend on the attributes you favour in your centre-backs.

Marquee Transfers SBCs

The update will also see some of the biggest moves of the summer thus far with the release of Marquee Transfers SBCs, with Alexandre Lacazette, Bernardo Silva, Mohamed Salah and Corentin Tolisso receiving loan items that reflect their new clubs, namely Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool and Bayern Munich, respectively.

This first round of transfers will be of particular benefit to those with Premier League-themed squads, with Lacazette, Silva and Salah set to enjoy a higher chemistry with those in the English top flight following their moves.
