EA Sports has already released a handful of FIFA 17 Team of the Season squads so far for the Ultimate Team portion of the game, but more look set to arrive later today.
According to the FUT Economist, we could be set to receive a new FIFA 17 TOTS squad this afternoon for either the Jupiler Pro League or Eredivisie.
This would mark the fourth Team of the Season squad released by EA Sports following on from Friday’s announcement of the British Premier League TOTS squad.
If you’ve somehow missed the recent FIFA 17 news, then let’s bring you quickly up to speed.
EA Sports are currently releasing their customary Team of the Season squads, one league at a time which started with the three Gold, Silver and Bronze Community squads.
This first team was made up of players who consistently performed at the top level all season, but who failed to attain a Team of the Week in-form card.
Soon enough EA Sports will also release their Team of the Season squads for the Bundesliga, Calcio A, La Liga, Ligue 1 and more leagues around the world.
As mentioned, the most recent FIFA 17 Team of the Season squads to be released was for the British Premier League, which featured four players from newly crowned Champions Chelsea, as well as four players from runners-up Tottenham Hotspur.
Manchester United, Liverpool and Everton complete the team with a player apiece, while Arsenal and Manchester City could only settle for one player each – Alexis Sanchez and Kevin De Bruyne – both on the substitutes bench.
You can take a look at the full squad in the gallery above, or by following this link: FIFA 17 BPL Team of the Season.
In addition, on Monday EA Sports released their customary 24th player as “A super Bonus SBC that rewards fans for completing special SBCs every week”
In the Premier League that means players have the chance to get themselves a 89 rated CAM Gylfi Sigurdsson card.
Although the Team of the Season squad news is what’s grabbing players attentions at the moment, it won’t be long until fans are drooling over FIFA 18.
Football game rivals at Konami have already revealed PES 2018 along with several ways in which the game will look to better the FIFA 18 offering.
But for now, EA Sports has remained tightlipped on FIFA 18, but we would expect to hear something in the coming days and weeks leading up to EA’s E3 show, EA Play.
That said, fans of the game were recently shown a potential FIFA 18 “Leak” according to The Daily Mirror who first reported the news.
This video featured 24-year-old Manchester United ace, Paul Pogba, replacing Borussia Dortmund attacking midfielder Marco Reus as the game’s cover star.
However, this FIFA 18 clip, unfortunately turned out to be a big fat fake and was actually concept art designed by Twitter user @JamescDZN.
It’s still fun to look at though, teasing a potential new menu interface, a revamped Alex Hunter Journey mode and the addition of FIFA Street, a fan favourite that’s been requested for several years, but in all likelihood won’t return to FIFA 18.
All we really know about FIFA 18 so far, is that it will also come to Nintendo Switch.
