A clip going viral on Twitter has taken the term “FIFA rage” to a whole new level.
It shows a forward calmly chipping the on-rushing goalkeeper, in the EA Sports classic.
But it ends up hitting the post and rebounding across the goal line.
Another player then rushes in to whack the ball into the open net but inexplicably scuffs his shot and lets it run between his legs.
The goalkeeper finally tries to grab the ball but spills it back into the goalmouth – and again it refuses to go in when an injured defender blocks its path.
Finally, the keeper manages to palm it away and the clip ends.
Twitter user Mr Mask TV posted footage of the moment on Saturday (June 3) with the caption: “I don’t have any words left… #FifaRage.”
It’s since gained more than 23,000 retweets and 33,000 favourites with thousands of users posting their disbelief.
Pop star Olly Murs commented: “Wow, that’s seriously unlucky.”
Another fan wrote: “I would have killed my Xbox [if that happened].”
And a third took things even further: “If that happened to me….I’d throw my nan out the window let alone the controller.”
