England claimed victory at the FIFA Interactive World Cup, with GORILLA beating two Germans on his way to success in Westminster’s City Hall.

A tournament that began with seven million competitors was eventually whittled down to two across three days of intense competition in London, all streamed live across skysports.comandSoccer AM’s Facebook pag.

After Wednesday’s group stages and Thursday’s start of the knock-out phase, Friday proved to be every bit as dramatic as the previous two days combined with the action also shown on Sky Sports Mix.

The action kicked off with the second legs of the divisional finals. In the PlayStation Division, an all-German affair between TIMOX and DETO went the way of the latter while in the Xbox Division, home favourite GORILLA delighted the fans with victory over a third German in the shape of CODYDERFINISHER.

More than 60 years after England’s 1966 success on the field, it was England v Germany again, this time in a two-legged affair, one played on each console.

DETO took a 3-1 advantage in the first leg, played on the PlayStation, but GORILLA rallied to draw 3-3 and put himself in pole position when returning to his favoured Xbox.

Englishman GORILLA beat DETO 7-3 on aggregate to become the 2017 FIFA Interactive World Cup Champion

And he never looked like relinquishing the advantage, powering his way to a 4-0 success and a 7-3 aggregate triumph that gave him the world title he had vowed to claim earlier this year.
