Dele Alli ready to negotiate his FIFA 18 rating

Preseason is starting to ramp up around Europe which means footballers are beginning to fret over the only thing that matters, their FIFA rating. Dele Alli is taking his rating extremely serious this season as he’s taken a personal meeting with EA Sports to discuss his virtual stats:

In the FIFA 17 world, it was a prosperous year for the Spurs midfield maestro. He began the season with an 80 rating in FIFA’s popular Ultimate Team game mode. By the time the season concluded, he’d received an upgrade to 82 for his base card and five special cards with 91 being his peak rating. He was named to EA’s Team of the Week once, earned a Premier League Player of the Month card, a PL Young Player of the Year card and finally was named to the PL Team of the Season.

While his rating continuously and deservedly shot up throughout the season, there was one noticeable disappointing aspect of his in-game stats and that was his skills rating. In FIFA, skill moves and what a player is capable of pull off is determined by a star rating 1-5. Dele was given a 3-star rating, which limited his abilities and overall effectiveness. He may be able to pull off the spectacular in the real world on a consistent basis, but that wasn’t reflected in the virtual world. Hopefully he can talk EA into bumping that up for FIFA 18.

However, if we’ve learned anything from past releases, Dele can expect to be disappointed. Just hope they have a camera there to reveal his angst when they show him his rating like they did with Harry Kane last season.
